Day 4 in Provence

On day four it was still cloudy with a little rain, but who cares?   I’m in Provence painting.  This granite hill was just behind the Inn, surrounded by cherry orchards and vineyards.  8″ x 10″ oil on panel.

Le Madelene, near Malaucene, France

A painting from the road of Le Madelene, the ancient monastery where we stayed during the workshop with Julian Merrow-Smith.  Day 5  6″ x 10″ oil on panel.    

Day 1 in Provence

Just behind Le Madelene, where we stayed, is this beautiful valley full of vineyards and orchards.  The clouds moved in, but it was still a stunning view.  Julian had just given an amazing demo and we all scattered to find our masterpieces.  6″ x 8″ oil on panel.
