I spent an entertaining afternoon at my friend Merritt’s house, painting his portrait and listening to stories of his life and ancestry.  He’s from am old New England family that has a few skeletons in the closet. 12 x 16 oil “Sold”

“Ian” A great model last night at the Tryon Painters and Sculptors Studio. Pretty geeked up to paint after a weekend at the Portrait Society of America’s conference, in Atlanta. Oil on 12 x 16 linen.
