Ricky Jay “Cards as Weapons”

I don’t even want to admit how long ago I painted this illustration. Ok, it was 1977. I didn’t have as much hair as Ricky, but almost. I still have the original painting for this one. The illustration was used as a book cover as well as a large poster. I see the posters are still selling online for a few hundred apiece. Someone forgot to send me my 10% commission. Come on, a deal is a Deal. I won’t be holding my breath. Hey Ricky, I still have one of the books. I’m patiently waiting for you to autograph it for me. It’s only been 35 years.

Gary,
Happy to have found you after all these years. I would be delighted to sign your book and be back in touch. Please don’t post my email, however. I loved, and still love the cover you did for my book! Many thanks,
Ricky
